Feel the Sound (Barbican Centre)

SONCITIES is delighted to participate in the Barbican Centre’s Feel the Sound exhibition with Vibraceptional Plate, a participatory artwork by Jan St. Werner, engineered by Michael Akstaller. SONCITIES also contributes to the exhibition catalogue, edited by Taous Dahmani, with a text by Gascia Ouzounian.

Vibraceptional Plate explores the vibratory nature of acoustics—the immediate, physical impact of sound on bodies and objects. It offers a public platform for experiencing and experimenting with vibration. At Feel the Sound, the piece is featured in a room focused on sound and embodiment, co-curated by Nicole L’Huillier and Sarah MacKenzie.

Book tickets here!

Warm thanks to Nicole L’Huillier for the invitation to participate in Feel the Sound, and to Luke Kemp and the Barbican Immersive team for their thoughtful work on the exhibition.
